Coaching & Mentoring
Our coaching and mentoring staff are individuals who have earned the highest level of education on site. They are graduates from the school of hard knocks. Albert Einstein once stated "There is only one road to human greatness and it is earned through the school of hard knocks. This eclectic and devoted group have tremendous insight into the hidden world of the displaced family. Many have had similar circumstances. They understand what many of us will never know; the feeling of fear, loss, confusion and hopelessness. They seemed to have an unspoken bond almost immediately. Here is where the connection begins and the student feels hope for the first time in years. It is here where the turn around begins. Those students that are failing classes and have only uttered those dreadful words "i don't care". Soon they become alive and want to achieve. Site coordinators contact home based teachers in order to develop a plan of success. Mentors and Coaches advocate for our students so they are no longer without a voice.
On Site Tutoring
One-on-one support is available through educational specialists who work closely with students. Our goal is to motivate the students to do more than complete assignments. We encourage students to become active participants in their educational process by asking questions, stating their opinion on the material and asking for clarification when needed. We encourage students to become vested in their educational journey. We spent time presenting the harsh realities of not finishing High School. A college graduate will make 1 million dollars more than a high school drop. We present cutting edge information and graphic arts in order to present a true understanding so the student associates a value to learning.
Remote Learning Assistance
We ensure that all students are connected to and participating in their remote learning classes. During their required time we make sure they are focused in so they can perform better.
Character/Skill Development Training
Provide support to students on a global level. Here is where the conversations begin concerning all aspects of the students life. Coaches review academic, social and emotional aspects of student. Exposing the student to the necessity of exhibiting positive and authentic character traits.
Youth Empowerment & Enrichment
We provide opportunities for students to participate in Martial and Creative Arts, exercise and physical activities that encourage positive self-esteem, self-confidence and, showing a way out most importantly we are committed in our partnership to provide any additional services as needed for the success of the students.
Goal Setting
Challenging students to determine their path and purpose for obtaining academic success and future goals. A road map Is created by coach and student that will take them to their chosen destination.
